His debut in the film industry was at the age of 26,in the year 1946 and his last film song recording was at the age of 73 in the year 1996 for a political satire film for Shivaji Ghanesan.Vow!!! 50 years of active involvement.Over 10171 Tamil film songs,2631 devotional, light music and other language film songs. Several thousands of stage programmes for Carnatic music and film songs, in the entire world Unfortunately,TMS was not recognized at national level. This is an unforgettable mistake in the Indian film industry and it is too late for yet another national award. No one can say in India,Mohd Rafi,YesuDas, SPB,Jayachandran,Kumar Sanu or any other national award winners are better than TMS.Once I have written to the President of India with a copy to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to review the real history and career of TMS to consider for Dhadha Falke award or Bharata Ratna award for his contribution to film industry and I had a positive reply. May I request all Fans of TMS to follow a suit to get a recognition for him at national level at this age.
