an original cricket song describing the emotional roller-coaster of Botham's amazing turnaround achieved at the Headingly Test in 1981 as heard on the radio via TMS. Fact 1 we were within an inch of defeat. The bookies were offering 500 to 1 for an england win after the appalling start from the follow on. Fact 2 the crowd were leaving the ground in droves after the seventh wicket fell. Fact 3 The stock market ground to a halt as market traders listened to the match Fact 4 I was driving prospective customers around Leeds and Sheffield that day and I saw more minor car accidents on that day than i ever have seen before or since and nearly crashed my own car just from listening to the excitement of a radio commentary. Fact 5 This was a heroic sporting will-to-win achievement that stands as a supreme example to any budding cricketer.
