Concert:

This was one of my best concerts with a great audience and ambiance.

Best heard with headphones.

I have played Raag Charukeshi. Started with Alaap (introduction) and Jod to create the mood and open up the Raaga.

I have then played a Gat or composition in Matta Taal which is 9 beats.

This is followed by a Madhyalaya and Drut Gat or composition in Teental (16 beats).

This is a Sampoorna Raga and is common to Carnatic music as well.

On Tabla is the very talented Partha Mukherjee who is my great friend and accompanies me in several Sitar concerts.
