The compositions of the celebrity musician, musicologist , composer and a living legend-- Padma Vibhushan ,Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr.M.Balamauralikrishna were featured in a concert rendered by Dr. Balamuralikrishna's disciple ,Gana Kala Vipanchee Vidwan Vellore Sri R. Giridharan..Herein, Sri Giridharan presents a composition of his Guru in the raga Lavangi,set to Adi tala. Vidushi Coimbatore Ms. S.Usha ( Violin ), Vidwan Sri S.Gopukumar ( Mridangam ), Vidwan Tiruvarur Sri R. Krishnamoorthy ( Kanjira ) and Dr. Vellore ARSrinivasan ( morsing ) are the accompanying artistes...Lavangi raga has been created by Dr. Balamuralikrishna with only 4 swaras and is the Janya raga of Mayamalavagaula.
