American Tamil Medical Association (ATMA) 6th annual Convention,12th-15th august 2010 Chicago, Illinois In keeping with this years convention theme, was presented a Tamil Poetic work by Dr. Narmada Kuppuswamy (MD, obstetrics&gynecology, Downers Grove, Illinois) on Infant and Maternal Mortality entitled 'A Mother's Prayer' was choreographed in Bharatanatyam by Subhalakshmi. The poem ends with a monologue intended for the mother Goddess from a mother, interpreted with touching duality of one having lost a child in birth or encountering the divine in heaven after her dying in the process of child birth. Excerpts from the last scene of the act. I did some last minute singing into the track. So any bad singing in the audio is my fault. :D Flute by VK Raman. Video by Thiru Srinivasan
